Welcome!

The GISC (Interdisciplinary Group on Complex Systems) was established in January 1996 as a unifying group for researchers collaborating on Complex Systems studies from different institutions and perspectives within the Community of Madrid. Its main objective is to facilitate and promote such collaboration and the exchange of information within a large group of researchers.

The group's name does not impose any limitations on its research interests. On the contrary, it represents a broad class of problems, avoiding restrictive classifications that can be detrimental. In practice, GISC operates as a stable organizational structure that channels scientific activity through joint research projects, event organization, resource acquisition and sharing, and more.

Currently, GISC members are primarily affiliated with different institutions in Madrid (see footer). If you would like more information, we encourage you to visit this website and explore the personal pages of our group members.
